Chuck Caddell från Garden Texas byggde denna i slutet av sjuttiotalet. Snyggt eller inte han kombinerade två ikoner ur den amerikanska bilhistorien. Corvette och Hemi.
Lackeringen var top notch på den tiden.
Att choppa av vindrutan och göra en roadster var coolt i en tid då 1967 Corvette bara vara… ehh gammal.
Idag , när vi placerar 67:an ”där uppe” är det en annan sak .
Låt oss säga att det är en återspegling av tiden. Varken mer eller mindre.
( Och säg inte att du inte är nyfiken på hur den där låter)
A few comments on this Hemi Vette from one that was there. I see that it was said, Chuck ”had this built”.Let me set the record straight here.Chuck built this car himself,every bit of paint,each bit of fiberglass,through many changes and revisions over the years.He is a superb artist,a wonderful painter,and a true craftsman in every sense of the word.He has done professional Corvette work for me personally on my vettes in the past,he is a very talented guy,a visionary,and a very skilled designer and builder. I am proud to call Chuck a friend.As a young teen,I personally helped Chuck position that hemi into that car in the driveway of his parents home in Odessa,Texas..,years ago.This Corvette is a work of love and art,It was good to see it again!

Charles passed away 3 days ago.
That is sad. I had been emailing him but got no reply. I have had the hemi vette for a while. It’s up on my lift waiting for me to replace the fuel lines. It sprung a leak so I decided to replace all of the rubber lines. RIP Chuck!

I did some work with Chuck in the late 80s.
I wonder if anyone has the mold for that wing and mirrors on the cool C3, it would be a cool tribute to have a set of those on my C3.

Damn. That’s really sad. What year did that damn lion die? That thing scared the heck out of me.
He worked on my 57 in the 80’s he was never over his old girlfriend from the 60’s
