Zephyrhills Fall Autofest

Last weekend when I got the opportunity to visit Zephyrhills Fall Auto Fest.There were mostly older US vehicles and US car culture, and every imaginable American food and drink.

 

!cid_inlineImage26 !cid_inlineImage25The main theme of the meeting was the car auction where the cars were clubbed at relatively high prices compared to the previous year, according to several of the bidders.

 

 

Luckily, you could follow the commandments and the current car on a large TV screen, otherwise at least I was completely off when the auctioneer  speeded up his unswedish chant  while the cars came in at one end, jumped up on the podium and out the other end the effective assembly line principle in the large crowded metal barn to  become a auction hall.

Even outside the auction hall were hundreds more and less fine carriages for sale for vulnerable prices OBO. (or best offerings = or best offer)   16.500 !

My  lowballing  was met only by a slight right brow lift on the half-asleep “cowboys” who crawled to shelter from Florida’s head drilling  sun.
