Spring time is coming
Spring time is coming. The days will be longer and lift queues soon will be shorter. You and I and the entire hobby are heading towards a brighter time. All I want with Worldkustom is to shed light on YOU as an enthusiast.
It’s YOUR work that’s important. That’s something I have learned from all amazing acquaintances I have made under what is soon to be twenty years of travelling through Sweden. During this time, Krantz has become an expression but that’s beside the point. It’s all about YOU, the local hero. There are you readers that are the hobby, which contributes with all that interesting stuff.
Just look at the guy in this issue from Ljusdal that built himself a Chevy 57. Look at the enthusiast who made a fortune but never changed and built his own American car museum during his later years. I’m looking forward to all new acquaintances in 2015, to meet you, not the least on Elmia in Jönköping this Easter.
To shake hands, exchange words and really meet the readers is the best thing. Jump forward and say hello. I will be in the combined Krantz-jacket and Worldkustom showcase all way down in hall D next to the exit and food trucks.
In this issue Mission 47 starts for real. You will get to know five totally new heroes that under time pressure will work together on a Buick from 1950. Catch the series from the start and follow the work, the troubles, the bad jokes as sleep deprivation hits, the victories and the finale in several upcoming issues.
I promise you – you do not want to miss this and this is just the beginning. In Worldkustom you will be able to follow several series, more different kind of projects and some really crazy stuff. Spring time is just around the corner for the hobby and it is precisely your work, your project and your passion that is interesting and so it is your story we will tell.

Worldkustom one year.
Worldkustom turns one and that’s for real!
Since the birth of Worldkustom one year ago the magazine is done crawling. It has risen, stands on its own two feet and just the other day it started walking.
– You are ahead of the curve, said a competitor that called in late fall.
A competitor that is. The one-year-old showed a toothless grin.
Today this paper smiles to the world around with a new, shining garnish i the shape of a browsable version with a newspaper layout. Worldkustom one year old can bite.
The feeling is similar to when the new paint job is done and the chrome is attached but not only that. The content is new. The engine is trimmed, the fuel is the finest money can buy. After this editor left Bilsport Classic all Top Stories is featured in Worldkustom only. So this is where you will find the heavy stuff in the future. Gearing up to 130 octanes!
The Buick in this issue is an example of this. From now on, you will find the very best, the cream of the crop in Worldkustom. This is also the reason why you will find Krantz’ chronicles on this site. The parts are all in place and the machinery is heating up hotter than the Nevada desert in July. It is time to glide into 2015 and welcome spring. Something tells me it’s going to be a great ride.
– Jump in. It’s time for fun and hey..
The ride is on Worldkustom.
Time to sum up.
Wow, twelve issues already! Wow, almost half a million clicks! – Wow, and Merry Christmas to you all Worldkustom readers.
Old is king
The flat tire made scratching noises underneath me. The sound it made when it rallied crosswise on the hard ground worked in opposite direction to the blood pressure medication.
I´m so fed up with B flat
If I open the door it pings. When I drive it pings. If the gas is running low it pings. Give me a car that does what I tell it to do and shuts up.
Obama – Call Sweden
Obama, nice of you to check up on us in Stockholm. Now that you have found us maybe you could.. call Fredde Reinfeld and double check if what I write has some truth to it.
1/3 Inch
Don’t give up inside your garages. It isn’t always easy and it isn’t always hard. (Winston Churchill) or like the rod builder in Vilhelmina Niklas Johansson says: I’m trying to do at least something every day.
Thumbs up for the thirties
One-year-olds are lousy. They are impossible to trust. Not eighty-one-year-olds either. These groups have conspired to a boycott against Worldkustom but thumb’s up for the thirty-somethings! You’re the bomb! This according to the analyze that also contained another huge surprise.
The Probationary Driver License
I’ve got it back. The probationary driver license… or naah.. I’ve never had any but now I’ve got it. Bitter.
