SWEDEN. A big winter car race was held in Sweden in 1911. The task was to drive as fast as possible from Gothenburg to Stockholm.
Who won was apperantly not that important due to a newspaper clip from 1911.
-Mr Janck something … and what car he drove no one knows.
More important was that prince William came with a new Benz and that princess Maria rode shotgun.
Note snow chains in rear.
Gothenburg – Stockholm takes according to Google Map four and a half hour if you keep the speed limits.
-Racer Janck roar ran at 22 hours 2 minutes and 32 seconds.
Wounderful readers of the mag.
Of course it’s wrong: Google map said 3 hours and the greaser and car guy did not think Google shoot in train stuff in the roadmap!?
– Big thanks to “Gör rätt”.
4,36 hours is the driving time says Google map.
Go’na change that in the mag too.
:o)
