Tommy mark up my newly balanced propeller shaft so that I can not put it together wrong when I split it for assembly at home.
– Two piece shafts are balanced as a unit and must be assembled exactly as they were when you pull them apart, tips Tommy. U-joints and pulleys can also usefully be marked so you minimize the risk of imbalance after having dismantled the shaft.
– Your shaft was ok, ‘said Tommy, but now it is perfectly balanced and deviates less than a tenth of a millimeter.
-0.1 millimeters. !!
Yes, it may be a little overkill on a daily driver, but I do that to all.
