1958 Chevrolet Brookwood
I remember this Chevy from when I was a child and it cruised in my hometown Edsele. I will never forget how impressed I was of this battleship, rolling down the street and I got a serious craving for that huge body.
It had an amazing red Plexiglas that got my heart pumping faster. This car even had a straight six with a three geared, manual transmission which is the most common motor in Sweden.
The Chevy ended up in an overgrown field during the seventies where it was forgotten until 15 years later.
After that the Chevy moved around to different owners before it was driven to the junk yard in 2011.
VW-bus from the Middle of the 50’s.
It was used by Oscar Edfors Radio and TV in Solleftea to retrieve and deliver television sets and radios. The company is no longer registered but I have a clear memory of the owner, standing outside his shop in a brown suit smoking cigar.
During many years the bus was in use as a break hut at this exact spot.
Sadly, these beautiful vehicles are seldom left untouched. All windows were intact until 2008 but today it looks like this.
-Tragic.
Nowadays it’s under restoration and we wish to be acquainted again real soon.
