The Futurliner project by Niklas Jonsson and friends is a task beyond  normal. Imagine planning for a decade with huge  funds you don’t have.  It’s a tremendous walk. Worldkustom are happy to show some pages of their magazine.  Enjoy – but most of all try to get one and pay for it.

What’s the thing about  Futurliner?

Very shortly put:  GM in USA built some unique buses to travel the countryside in order to show off the technology of tomorrow during the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s with cessation for the War.

Huge circuses that attracted the everyman showing x-ray machines, refrigerators and microwaves before we could even pronounce it 70 years ago.

Along with the TV the Americans became enlightened couch potatoes and the buses were no longer needed. Twelve were made and these are now hard currency.

Number 8 is being renovated in Sweden into astounding condition. A cultural achievement and a preservation of an immortal moment in the history of American industrialism. GM:s The Parade of Progress with 12 buses will never occur again and Niklas Jonsson sees to it that we have the only one outside of American soil.

Here are some chosen pages from the paper that have already been translated in three languages from Jonsson Power. That’s Pro!

  1. How can I make direct contact with the owner of the futurliner..?
I am in the United States, state of Oregon, I built the only futurliner transport in the world…

  2. My name is Thomas, I transported the Futureliner with rear end damage, and the rear third of another Futureliner on a low boy trailer with an extended wood frame to support it for the owner, from Chatworth , Ca. Down to the harbor when it was exported. The owner had bought an old Consolidated Friegtways Trsctor to go with so the trailer holding the Futurliner could be driven on to the Ship. At the harbor the load was almost rejected by the longshoreman. For more of the story you may contact me. I would love to get a copy of the magazine and an update on the restoration.
