So you think it is just to run into the woods and shoot old cars?

After I slipped up half the hill I begin to suspect that all was not right because I saw clear traces of a tractor which lagged and also found some metal parts on the road.

When I was almost down at the bottom the  gravity decided to play with me as my legs flew not to lift the entire body but I tumbled on the slopes with a reading of 3.0 on the Richter scale down the pits with mud with a only thought in my head and that was to protect the camera so the arms upwards with camera. When stopped I lay floundering in the mud and was anything but clean.

Up again and down to those last 100 yards  and into the woods where the cars would be and what did I find?
-Two clear marks of cars that were no longer. One of them being a 50’s Opel Captain. We were two days late.

Mercury in 1954 with the wrong color
The stories are that a lot of cars are set aside by any trifle.

It was the case with this 1954 Mercury

The reason was that it had a larger and more powerful V8 than sitting in the owners’ black Mercury.

The only fault of this car was the color. They thought that a black car was nicer than brown. So it was slaughtered!

It was other times. At the time of shooting, I took his thumb and rubbed on the chrome front. It was in good condition.

The old Volvo sow served as the taxi first before it ended up in the woods and was used as a resting house for some forest workers who sought warmth in it while they ate their lunch and fired the stove they fitted into.
After they did not need it anymore so became the standing some years before it was towed to the junkyard. Note the chimney that comes up between the windscreen and the cowl through the ventilation hatch.

We end where we began.  It is not always easy to photograph the forest wreck ..

One day, I up to the western parts of Medelpad to meet a friend who would show me around the area hunting for junk. . The day started with a cup of coffee in his cottage which is very scenic with meadows and woods around. After coffee we went up in the woods in front of the cottage to shoot an old Opel. After a walk over to the neighbor’s land where PV is partially hidden under moss so as yet there was no problem.

Further to a Chevy 51  situated on the roof of a jalopy, take some pictures of it and then have a meeting with a Standard Vanguard also on the roof. Once that is done we will go a back way from there when I see an undercarriage of a car which is on the other side of a small lake

Stops immediately and asks if he knows what kind of car for the looks big, I think, but he did not know. Take some photos from the riverbank of the water on the car where it is, but feel I want to it to get better pics.

Viewing of the terrain and see that it should be able to walk around the lake to get to the car, Said and done, on with the boots down the slope and out among the small streams flowing out of the water holes. After that we rushed over half of the streams we come to one that is six feet wide with an icy trees lying straight across.

After a moment of deliberation and after having checked the tree to keep us, we go out on the tree trunk. When your friend is almost over so slipping his to lose balance and fall into the dyvattnet and falls to the waist in this stinking mourn after which a battle occurs on hand to keep himself from laughing and partly to help him up again, which is not the easiest thing for as I said we are on an icy, narrow tree trunk.

So after he reached probed the terrain and we realized that it was only to give up. I got my punishment on the way back to when it was my turn to explore the bottom of a stream with the same smelly mess. Then it was nice to go home to dry warm clothes and a cup of coffee

A few weeks later I found out that it was a Volvo PV that we have seen so it was not such a big car as I thought  but it was a fun memory
