Bollnas Motor show starts the season off in these parts of Sweden. That we have entered the month of April didn’t pass anyone by when the weekend offered all kinds of weather. No one complained on the expanded swap area or the newly additional outside showroom with a judging panel though, it was the other way around.
– Spring as well as the Motor revue was finally here!

The Street Machine of 2012 on Power Meet didn’t let anyone’s expectations down. Compressor driven 572 Hemi with Richmond five gear box and a finish off world class. Taillights that appears infinitely deep. It’s crazy when you think about what kind of cars they build Sweden.
Ford 5W Coupé 1935 with newly restored frame and side valve just like juvelery. In this case it was the intriguing body that reeled me in. Owner Hakan Lindstrom, Soderhamn.
Caresto Sports Rod. Pipe frame industrially made and individually de-feathered axles draped with a body in old style gives you a racer car with hot rod look. Owner is Leif Tufvesson, Caresto and Abergs fiberglass bodies in a new collaboration. Fat stuff.
Rod of the year 2012. Hakan Karlén from Enebyberg put a 572 Crate motor in his Ford 5W Coupe 1932. Nothing beats cubic inches.
Hudson with Chrysler top valve-V8 and 727 automat. A beautiful initiative and when did ever two purifiers steal the show? Janne Pettersson, Strangna did not just arrive with this beauty but also with the Forslund ESS-boat.
Flickan.com, aka, Linda Tolind had painted this MC with mixed colors to make it look bleached from the sun and stained from rusty water. The MC had eight layers of varnish with the last layer milled down. Incredible craftsman ship.
4473 miles. Lars-Eric Larsson from Sundborn has something of a high miler. Oldsmobile Super 88 Hard top from 1960 has been rolling 4473 documented miles.
… and the year is? Halsingland’s Motor historics deserved a big round of applauses.
Elving no matter where in the name constellation apparently means music. Ford Roadster 1936 with white sides and Mustang automatic. Owner is Elving Langdahl from Hedemora.
The beer can has come to be an item for exhibition. The olds was announced in the foyer with beer cans placed with precision in the booth with the description “perfect hillbilly finish”.
Johnny Hansson’s Chrysler Windsor from 1958 won Krantz Challenge and Norrlands’ most popular car in 2012. Here in the first of the three exhibitions that comes with the first prize.
