The shop closes down for a vacation trip to Florida after only two months. Stefan cons his girl friend for money and Chris sands a car that wasn’t meant to be painted.
Stefan had burning money in his pocket.
-Let’s go and buy that Buick convertible he said.
Chris had turned down the buy for days. As the older of the two he fealt that they had to sell something first.
-You have to move when the opportunity comes, not when it suits your plan, Stefan argued, drove the Cadillac in front of the shop and off they went.
Stefans girlfriend Maddy was in the back seat when he suddenly pulled up to the ATM machine.
-Darling he, said …
One hour later they were separated. In cars that is. Stefan and Maddy in the Buick they just bought and Chris trailing in the Cadillac.
The LaSalle with the electrical meltdown was fixed, one of the Volvo P1800 was sold and the fourth snow storm hit Chris with a massive blow to the body when he left the shop one night. The cold drilled threw his jacket, the wind got behind the t-shirt, the white flakes melted inside his collar and all that gave him Florida fever.
Three days later they crawled the hot cement of a Florida drive way working on a Dodge RAM while sweat was poring down and they loved every second.
About the Buick. They had agreed on cleaning it up and making some fast buck selling it before the girlfriend started to feel like a bank for the shop.
-It was only a loan technically spoken Stefan had said. They didn’t need her money in any way. She just happened to have her Visa and the guys didn’t. It was just bad timing. Stefan had just made an add online for a quick sale when he meat Chris outside the shop. He was all dusty.
-What have you done . . .
-What’s going on. Are you sanding the other Volvo P1800 all ready or are you working on the 1968 Mustang ?
-Nope. I’m taking the Buick down to the metal. Also have cut out two floor wells.
-You did what?? Are you out of your mind? I’m having it for sale you moron.
Well that add went south. Question is if the girlfriend is going the same way.
