Zephyrhills 2015 no 1

Zephyrhills swap meet is big enough. You cut it in a day if you have to and can enjoy two days if you have time. Auction, swap, sale cars in leisurely pace with the chance to bargain at the not too exploited meeting. by Krantz

I  like Zephyrhills meeting where it shows up on Florida’s west coast in February. The resort is located 45 minutes north of Tampa and  is very small so the shelter must be booked in time.

On the other hand, I got a single room as a walk-in just like that  the same evening for those who want to gamble.

This year, the prices had fallen on some cars but unfortunately the dollar had risen on its hind legs and reached out to 8,70 krones. Yet there were deals to make.

An improvement from 2014 when everything was crazy expensive and buyers and sellers dug down firing at each other not wanting to meet in the middle.  This year, more reasonable. Not in general but there were hints of sobering up and the opportunity to pan for one or other delights. How about a Cougar Conv. for 5950 dollars?

Whats wrong with me? I flog myself up because I did not buy it. – WhimpKrantz.

Newly renovated machine, freshly painted, newly roofed, perfect for rides to the beach  … grrr.

Nice atmosphere thus in a meeting that is not swelled over all the edges but kept its laid-back charm. The babes who wanted beer sales to  start in the morning danced on the tables for the weary fifty-year-farts barely woken.

Worldkustom liked the event so much that we are going to provide the readers with a very good insight of 60 pictures divided into two sections. Here is he first part.

Spend mornings in the shade on the porch with the shotgun on your knees and pack brown cardboard boxes to Sweden in the evening breeze.

After crawling, smelling and squeezing,  an over all okay car if not entirely perfectymotion.

A killer for the car show Krantz Challenge.

The owner, who seemed to have written the note with a piece of coal, wanted 1.2 million krones and asked please not to get  insulting bids.

– Fair enough.
