SWEDEN. Highway Hotel is a genuin sixties Esso Motor Hotel that has been restored and is now a popular retro restaurant and bar and music waterhole. New owner Marie opened with a bang.

The hotel is also fully working and the restaurant has complete bar permits. It’s true old style genuinely preserved and renovated sixties stuff in full swing.
Not a reconstruktion or wanna-be-old-style. Nothing beats the original.
Here were John Silver without filters smoked in the times when iconic Kersti Adams Rays radio voice was heard and Volvo Starke trucks roared up the hill beyond.
Marie
On October 3, it was a reopening with Marie at the steering wheel.
Godfrey Krantz was singing jazz, country and rock and roll to big brothers guitar accompaniment, and it was a packed place for five hours.
Extra staff had their aprons full of jobs and the guests enjoyed the party.
The citys enthusiasts came together, not least Lunne = Kenneth Lunneborg, a greaser with a past as a stage builder and cultural developer at the theatre had built an American theme with his amazing cars in the entrance area, something everyone was talking about.
Worldkustom thank Marie and Katharina (picture) continuing on the path that Johan and Irene Larsson embarked on their renovation of Highway and now sold to be developed.
Marie is now taking the American style a step further with a Diner Disk and USA menues not to mention kid boxes pin ball machines and other cool stuff.
