Rocky Road 4. Hog and jog at the gas station.

The band Krantz & Krantz plays from north to south. Join us on the tour in 2015. Ups and downs. Part Four. Hog and jog  in Soraker.

The band  came home in the morning hours after the last gig in Upland.

A week later we jumped into the bus and headed south.

A look at the tank gauge was the day’s first chock. We slipped in on vapors and fumes to Gulf and refueled 67 gallons ( 260 liters).

There is always talk when the bus stops and and likewise this time. Jump in, and on low second gear  we set off with a great atmosphere in the old Volvo. After half an hour rang Gottfrids cell.

– Did you refuel recently?
-Yes
-You did not pay.

– You just took of but you had your name on the whole bus!

As usual. Rocky Road, and a a hog and jog  bill for 560 bucks.

Söråkers People’s House is a dream to play. Super stage, good sound in the walls, neat dance floor with views over two floors.

– Lots of gags in the dressing rooms then 

The place have stage lights  installed, spacious coffee places, the works.

You run  the bus to a loading dock and have  45 feet to the stage.

Easy going, luxurious and nice.

Bassist Fabian Rapp works just as well on  4, 5 and 6 strings.

His funk carpets at sound checks are already famous.

-Yeahh !! We should do that live  some time .

Funky Fabian fronts the audience  at midnight.The place was jammed at six o’clock when we started the evening rock show and dancing. The entire county was represented. People had been brought in by buses.  The first chord filled the dance floor with happy people.

A pretty, lovely partying crowd  that gives a special power to us preforming on stage. We’re talking love.

We have had the honor to play at the County Dances before and they are among our top-gigs.

– Crazy  fun.

Myran sold out all the posters and discs.

The decals came to an end and t-shirts flew away, signing pen ran out of ink.

-You Must obtain idol cards, they said.

Why have you no idol cards?

At ten o’clock the party was over for this time in an evening where all were heroes and winners, just like the entire country this evening when Måns Zelmerlöw took Sweden to the sixth victory in the 60th anniversary of The Eurovision Song Contest on TV

Krantz & Krantz was booked for the fall at large and in the spring 2016. At the same time announced our drummer Jacob Bylund he entered the Sweden’s foremost jazz line of drummers in Skåne.

Of the 60 candidates who auditioned, they took out three and Jacob came among the top three in Sweden. We’ll  lose him in the fall.-Rocky Road is a rocky road.  

– Well, that’s  healthy man.

CONGRATULATIONS JACOB! Go for it and good luck in  Skane, you traitor : o)

Krantz & Krantz have one more.

Original drummer Matti  Arvinder’s just finished after five years of drum studies at Piteå Music University. A rock motor that’s heard on the hot radio channels in Sweden.

We congratulate Super Jacob for success. An honor to have been playing with him in the back line as well as with other big shots in Krantz & Krantz through the years. We sometimes ask: Why are you playing with us anyway?
The answer usually is: Because it’s fun.
That’s enough for the Krantz family.
